Brazil’s drought affects dairy production

Dairy ranchers struggle to make a living as country’s northeast goes through its worst drought in half a century.

The interior of northeastern Brazil is the hot and semi-arid region of the country.

People there are used to dry weather, but they have not seen anything like the crippling drought they are living through now.

The small town of Afranio in Pernambuco state, as Al Jazeera’s Gabriel Elizondo reports, had only had one burst of rainfall last year.
