Hacking attacks ‘traced to China’
Twitter hacking attack targeted 250,000 user’s personal information, the latest in a string of attacks.

The latest internet hacking attacks shows that many of us are vulnerable to one of the world’s newest security threats – the usernames, email addresses and encrypted passwords of 250,000 people were hacked into on Twitter.
The attacks are being blamed on professionals and are believed to be the latest in a string of attacks by the same group – other companies attacked include the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal.
The Times says it’s computers were repeatedly hit over four months while they were reporting on the suspicious finances of a ruling Chinese minister and hired security consultants to investigate which led them to tie the attacks back to China.
Al Jazeera’s Caroline Malone reports.
