US cities reversing poverty trend

Cities across the Midwest and northeastern region of the US are bucking the trend of growing poverty and crime.

There is a growing gap between the rich and poor within the US, and once-thriving areas of the country are now facing increasing poverty and crime. 

In ‘Rust Belt’, comprised of states in the Midwest and Northeastern region of the US, was previously a booming industrial area and is taking action to reverse the trend.
