Jordan eyes role in shaping Syria talks

UN Security Council seat seen as key to influencing outcome of negotiations as conflict shows no signs of ending soon.

Jordan is about to take up a non-permanent seat at the UN Security Council. With the war in neighbouring Syria showing no signs of ending soon. The kingdom is likely to try to shape the outcome of negotiations at the world body.
