Thailand’s history of endless protests

Street protests form a familiar sight to residents of country plagued by political unrest for years.

Since 2005, Thailand has seen various rounds of street protests.

The latest bout of demonstrations is entering its seventh week with no signs of letting up. Demonstrators are calling on Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra to resign, and they want elections scheduled for February to be cancelled.
