Cervical cancer kills more South African women than any other type of cancer.
Early next year, the government wants to start rolling out a nationwide campaign to vaccinate girls aged 9 and 10 at the country’s poorest schools.
It is hoped that will protect them against the virus that causes almost all types of cancer.
