Spirits low for Christmas in the Philippines

As the world celebrates Christmas, Filipinos are busy still recovering from Typhoon Haiyan.

Christmas is usually a day of festivities in the mostly Catholic nation.

But this year’s celebrations are sombre.

The country is still recovering from Typhoon Haiyan, which devastated towns in November.
