Crowdsourcing saves lives in Nepal

Money from strangers, not the government, is helping to provide better medical services for Nepal’s poor.

It is known as crowdsourcing: using the internet to appeal for donations from as many people as possible.
And it is usually a way to fund personal projects such as films or charity events.
But in Nepal, crowdsourcing is being used to provide essential health services.

Al Jazeera’s Subina Shrestha reports from western Nepal.
