Lavish celebrations on Chad coup anniversary

Despite widespread poverty, millions of dollars are spent to mark 1990 coup which brought President Deby to power.

Millions of people in the land-locked African country of Chad can barely afford food, and live in poverty.

But each year, celebrations costing millions of dollars mark the 1990 coup which brought President Idriss Deby to power.
