Tunisia marks third anniversary of uprising

Three years on, protests over lingering economic woes are still taking place in impoverished town of Sidi Bouzid.

Protestors in Tunisia have marked the third anniversary of the event which triggered what is now known as the Arab Spring.

Three years ago, Mohammed Bouazizi, a Tunisian street vendor, set himself alight.

Several hundred opposition activists gathered in the town of Sidi Bouzid, to mark the occasion and to protest what they regard as a lack of progress since Bouazizi’s death.
