US marks anniversary of Sandy Hook massacre

Americans pay tribute to the dozens of people, mostly young children, killed in mentally ill gunman’s rampage.

Saturday marks the first anniversary of the day a mentally ill gunman went on a rampage at the Sandy Hook elementary school in Connecticut, killing 20 children and six adults.

The attack reignited the debate on US gun laws – but so far, the gun lobby is winning.
