US city tightens gun regulations

Jersey City to require gun manufacturers bidding for city contracts to answer a series of questions on gun safety.

As the US marks the anniversary of the Sandy Hook shooting rampage, and as another school shooting has just unfolded in the state of Colorado, American guns laws continue to fuel international debate.

A city in the state of New Jersey has come up with a plan to try to ensure firearms do not fall into the wrong hands, requiring gun and ammunition manufacturers bidding for city contracts to answer six questions about their positions on gun safety.
