Senegal cotton farmers struggle to compete

At least half a million Senegalese depend on cotton plantations to survive.

Cotton is a staple of the fashion industry.
But despite it’s popularity, for many African farmers who grow it, there is hardly any money to be made.
As part of Al Jazeera series on cotton workers, Nicolas Haque reports from Senegal, where farmers say they can not compete with the US industrial cotton plantations.
