Irish abortion law to be tested at UN
Women say they were forced to go abroad to terminate pregnancies, after being told babies were unlikely to survive.

Campaigners want the UN and the European Court to clarify whether Ireland is in breach of human-rights laws when it comes to women whose babies will not live after birth.
While they believe it would not even require a legislative change to allow for what they see as the most basic level of dignity for women going through a huge personal trauma, the strong Catholic lobby insists women simply need better support during birth.
