French court ousts undocumented Africans

Dozens of women aiming to reach Britain kicked out of squat in northern France as part of mayoral clampdown.

A court in the town of Calais has ordered dozens of undocumented women from the Horn of Africa to leave a squat in northern France.

The women, who were trying to find their way to Britain, could now end up living on the streets.

The move comes after a clampdown by the town’s mayor, who is encouraging people to report migrants setting up home in empty buildings.
