Drug seizures reach record high in east Asia

UN report finds number of pills seized in the region grew by 59 percent, with most of the drugs coming from Myanmar.

A new United Nations report says seizures of crystal methamphetamine and methamphetamine pills reached record highs in East and Southeast Asia last year.

The amount of drugs seized rose by 59 percent from a year earlier, and most of them orginated from Myanmar, the report said.
