Town official feels Thai protest heat

Governor of Chumpon in country’s south forced to work from home after activists surround municipality building.

Demonstrators in Thailand have laid siege to government facilities not only in the capital Bangkok but also in other parts of the country, including a southern town.

The town’s governor, who could not work from his office, said he does not want to confront the protesters and that the situation is under control.
