Thousands of demonstrators took to the streets of Kiev against a government decision to forego European trade deal.

Thousands of demonstrators took part in a second day of protests in Ukraine against their government’s decision to turn its back on a landmark European trade deal.

There were clashes with police in the capital Kiev, where hundreds gathered in Europe Square and in front of the government’s offices.

But the country’s prime minister said he will not give in to protests.
