Vatican displays first Pope’s bones

Tens of thousands of worshipers gather in St Peter’s Square to witness the display.

The Vatican has publicly unveiled what are believed to be the bone fragments of St. Peter, the first pope.

The Church says that the remains were found in a tomb with Peter’s name on the wall 72 years ago and the fragments are now being put in display for the first time.

The discovery has been the subject of scientific debate.
