Campaigners upset over Romania’s stray dogs

Government’s new plan to cut number of street dogs has infuriated animal rights campaigners.

They may be man’s best friend, but in Romania stray dogs are also a serious problem. Around 65,000 strays live on the streets of Bucharest and attacks are common.

But a new plan to cut their numbers has infuriated animal rights campaigners.
