Refugees fear return to Somalia

Somalis unwilling to go back to unstable situation at home despite deal to repatriate 500,000 refugees from Kenya.

The governments of Kenya and Somalia and the UN refugee agency say Somalia is on the path to peace and security. They signed a tripartite agreement that would send home 500,000 Somali refugees from Kenya over the next three years.

But many refugees do not think Somalia is safe yet, and are unwilling to go back.

Al Jazeera’s Peter Greste reports from Dadaab refugee camp in northeastern Kenya.
