Aid arrives for cyclone-hit Puntland

Government plea for help heard by neighbouring states, who send aid to those affected by storm that killed at least 300.

Aid has started to arrive in Somalia’s Puntland region after mass floods caused by a cyclone.

The aid is coming in from neighbouring Djibouti and Ethiopia but the government says it will need both immediate and long term help.

The cyclone could have killed as many as 300 people, with hundreds still unaccounted for.

Al Jazeera’s Mohammed Adow reports from Puntland.
