Bodies of drowned asylum seekers returned

Bodies of 34 refugees who drowned off Indonesian coast on the way to Australia last month returned home.

The bodies of 34 people who drowned off the Indonesian coast have been returned to Lebanon.

Their boat sank last month, as they were trying to make it to Australia. The issue of asylum seekers making their way across the sea from Indonesia, and elsewhere, to Australia has increasingly been in the spotlight, as their numbers grow, and more accidents occur.

Boats making the trip will often be overloaded and badly maintained.
