Ethnic rebels in Myanmar have agreed to start nationwide ceasefire talks with the government.

Seventeen armed groups have been meeting for the past four days, in a bid to reach consensus ahead of the talks.

Getting any truce to hold will not be easy, as Al Jazeera’s Nicole Johnston reports.
