Senior leaders resign from UK far-right group
Leader and other senior members of English Defence League resign, saying they can no longer control extremist elements.

The leader of Britain’s far-right English Defence League has resigned, saying he can no longer control extremist elements within the group.
Tommy Robinson says he still wants to counter “Islamist ideology” within the UK, but with ideas and not violence. Other senior members have also left the group.
