Peru firms hurt by cheaper Chinese imports
Cheaper imports are stifling Peru’s clothing manufacturers and a free trade agreement could make matters worse.

The Peruvian economy has doubled in size over the last 10 years.
The government says the boom is due to free-trade agreements.
But business leaders say they are unable to compete with cheap imports from China.
As a result of Chinese clothes taking over the market, at least 2,000 businesses have gone bankrupt.
