Egyptians will be holding nationwide rallies to remember the 1973 Arab-Israeli war.
It has been 40 years since Egyptian and Syrian forces launched a surprise attack on Israel.
But the combined force failed to push back Israeli forces from Gaza, where millions remain under siege.
