Afghan government aims to improve education

Government under President Karzai has been striving to improve both curriculum and access to education.

The Afghan constitution will not allow current President Hamid Karzai to run for a third term, which means Afghans will have a new leader next year.

But one of Karzai’s early promises was to rebuild an education system destroyed by the Taliban.

The reforms include easier access to education and a better curriculum.
