Lead poisoning has killed hundreds of Nigerian people in state of Zamfara which used to be a gold mine hub.

Lead poisoning has killed hundreds of people – most of them children – in an area which used to be a gold mine hub.
Treatment is expenisve and takes time, and many locals have began to view the discovery of gold as a curse.
Al Jazeera’s Ahmed Idris reports from Zamfara state in Nigeria.
