Scientists at the University of Leicester in Britain have discovered a way to treat the highly infectious superbug Clostridium difficile, which killed almost 2,000 people last year. They have isolated viruses that can destroy the deadly bacteria.
It is a breakthrough that could have major implications for the fight against antibiotic resistance.
