Greek universities face huge job cuts
Strike by administrators against government move to reduce payroll forces closure of eight academic institutions.

Eight of the biggest universities in Greece have closed because of a strike by administrators. They have staged the walkout because of a recent government announcement that 600 jobs may be cut to reduce the state payroll.
