Contagious disease that mainly affects communities without access to clean water is preventable.

Trachoma is the world’s leading cause of preventable blindness but millions of people continue to lose their eyesight to the disease.
The highly contagious condition, passed by skin to skin contact and also by flies, is treatable if caught early enough.
Al Jazeera’s Nicolas Haque travelled to Senegal’s worst affected region.
