Syrian Kurds demand their rights

Iraqi Kurds admit they are training their Syrian counterparts to self-govern and urging them to unite.

The Kurdish minority is playing an active part in the revolt against Syrian president Bashar al-Assad.

Many of them are calling for rights which they have been denied under Assad’s rule, though the country’s fractious Kurdish groups remain sceptical of one another.

As Omar Al Saleh reports from Irbil, they are learning lessons, and receiving help, from their Iraqi neighbours.
