US soldier who killed civilians during shooting spree faced no resistance because residents are now used to night raids.
A year has passed since the American soldier Robert Bales allegedly killed 16 Afghan civilians, including women and children, in Kandahar province.
Bales faces the death penalty for the massacre if he is found guilty at a US military trial expected later this year.
But family members of the victims are sceptical that justice will be served.
