Food security tops Somalia election agenda

Nearly one year after a famine killed tens of thousands of people in Somalia, millions are still in need of aid.

As Somalia prepares to elect a new president, one of the biggest challenges faced by the country’s voters is securing food.

The election on Monday comes as the nation struggles to recover from last year’s famine, when tens of thousands died.

The UN says more than two million people urgently need aid and over a million more are at risk.

Nazanine Moshiri reports from Mogadishu.
