South Sudan VP speaks on deal with Sudan

Riek Machar Teny-Dhurgon speaks to Al Jazeera about details of trade and oil deal beteen Juba and Khartoum.

Riek Machar Teny-Dhurgon, vice president of South Sudan, spoke to Al Jazeera about the details of a trade and oil deal beteen Juba and Khartoum.

He also spoke on the status of the on-going border dispute between Sudan and the world’s newest nation.

The deal, heraleded by the United Nations, includes an agreement to start export of as many as 350,000 barrels of oil a day using pipelines located in its northern neighbour.

They have also decided to create a demilitarised buffer zone along the border.
