UN humanitarian chief in Syria appeal

Valerie Amos, the UN humanitarian chief, says Syria needs a political solution to its 18-month conflict.

She called on countries with vested interests to put aside their differences – for the sake of the 2.5 million Syrians she says have been affected by the violence.

Amos spoke to Al Jazeera’s James Bays about the situation.
