Poll numbers spell trouble for UK’s deputy PM
Less than two years after leading his minority party into government, Nick Clegg is facing a wave of unpopularity.

Nick Clegg, the leader of the UK’s Liberal Democrats, led his minority party into a coalition government in 2010, becoming the country’s deputy prime minister.
Less than two years on, Clegg’s popularity in opinion polls has plunged dramatically, in large part because of his inability to push for more liberal reforms in the Conservative-led government of David Cameron.
As his party prepares for its annual conference, Clegg’s spot at the top looks increasingly precarious.
