A US appeals court is looking into whether the Barack Obama administration can withold documents relating to its drone programme.
The American Civil Liberties Union, ACLU, is trying to get more information on the secretive operations.
A lower court had originally ruled that the CIA programme was classified and therefore exempted from making its records public, but an appeals court seems unlikely to stand by classified designation.
