Economy and drugs dominate Mexico poll
The two biggest issues in country’s recent presidential election highlighted the nation’s desire for peace – and jobs.

Mexico’s presidential election on July 1 was dominated by two issues: the economy and the country’s “War on Drugs”.
The nation’s economy is growing at a rate of four per cent, yet 20 million youths are out of school and out of work.
Meanwhile, more than 50,000 people have been killed since December 2006, in the fight against drug gangs and organised crime.
