Efforts to clamp down on the smuggling of goods into Pakistan are getting some unexpected help from an ongoing electricity crisis.
Frequent power outages in the country, which can last for up to 18 hours a day, have made a wide range of electronic products effectively useless, causing a serious reduction in the number of customers seeking those goods.
Al Jazeera’s Kamal Hyder reports from one of the country’s biggest black markets in the city of Peshawar.
