Argentina cracks down on imports
Government says it is needed to stimulate local industry and prevent trade imbalance.

In Argentina the shelves at Apple computer stores are almost empty. Goods like imported Parma hams and French cheeses are not being allowed into the country. Even vital materials for Argentina’s automobile and pharmaceutical industries are unavailable.
It is all part of government crackdown on imports to stimulate local industry and prevent trade imbalance.
