Nigeria mobile phone providers face fines

Dropped calls, crossed lines or poor coverage are among the problems facing many of Nigeria’s 90 million mobile phone users.

But now the government is getting tough on the country’s biggest companies, accusing them of putting profits ahead of service.

Nigeria’s telecoms regulator has fined the country’s top four service providers $10m.
