Bahraini hunger striker’s daughter speaks out
Zainab al-Khawaja says her father sounds weak but believes death is better than “living in humiliation”.

Protests in Bahrain have increased as Abdul Hadi al-Khawaja’s hunger strike enters its 60th day and Bahrain rejects a request to transfer him to Denmark.
Al-Khawaja’s daughter, Zainab, has told Al Jazeera that he sounds very weak.
“Dying with dignity is better than living in humiliation,” she said quoting her father.
