Although street cuisine is among Indonesia’s most popular fast foods, the country’s 25 million street vendors operate illegally and in constant fear of the police.
Now, that looks set to change, with the emergence of a new and powerful ally in Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, the country’s president.
