Some presidential candidates argue that more time is needed to draft the historic document.

Egypt’s military rulers insist a new constitution must be ready before the election.
But the Muslim Brotherhood and other politicians say drafting a constitution is too important to be rushed and should not have such a rigid time frame.
Moneim Aboul Fotouh, a leading candidate enlisted as an independent in the vote, talked to Al Jazeera about his thoughts on the process and terms of the new constitution.
