Libya’s Misrata sees slow return to normality

Anger that much of city still in ruins after being besieged by Gaddafi troops more than a year ago.

Libya Misrata

More than a year ago, Muammar Gaddafi’s forces besieged Misrata, Libya’s third largest city, turning it into a battlefield and causing many to lose their livelihoods.

It has been a slow process returning the city to its former state.

With the destruction still evident, and much of the centre in ruins, many residents say the government is not doing enough to heal the scars left from the height of the revolt.

Al Jazeera’s Omar Al Saleh reports from Misrata.
