UN to act as tension rises in Yemen

The country remains under the grip of former president Ali Abdullah Saleh.


There are rising tensions in Yemen even though the former president, Ali Abdullah Saleh, has been out of power since February.

The new president, Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi, has struggled to deal with his predecessor’s continued grip on the country, along with regular outbreaks of violence.

And as Al Jazeera’s Jane Ferguson reports, the UN is now stepping in to try and avoid further violence.
