Many of those affected by the Tsunami disaster that hit Japan last March are still trying to piece their lives together.
A year ago Masaki Chiba ran for his life as the Tsunami hit his town.
12 Months on and Chiba still struggles with his emotions, more than 1,400 people were killed in Kissenuma alone, including many of his neighbours.
Pretty well everywhere in Kessenuma, you can still find reminders of that day, but soon the rebuilding will begin, and the fear among some is that once the new roads and new buildings come in the lessons from the disaster will be forgotten.
Al Jazeera’s Steve Chao travelled back to the ravaged community of Kessenuma, to speak to survivors.
