Putin opposition grows in Russian far east

Vladivostok faces increasing opposition to previous president’s candidacy for third term.

Russia will go to the polls on March 4 in presidential elections.

With previous president, Vladimir Putin, running for a third term in office, the country has seen some of the biggest demonstrations against the Kremlin since the fall of communism.

In Vladivostok, Russia’s main port city, where popular support favours communism, opposition to Putin is growing steadily.

Al Jazeera’s Jonah Hull reports from Vladivostok.
